Business Lens and AUKUS: Enabling CMMC Compliance for the Submarine Industrial Base

At Business Lens, we are proud to support the mission of AUKUS by helping strengthen the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) — with a specialized focus on the Submarine Industrial Base (SIB). Our core role is enabling suppliers and contractors to achieve CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance, a critical requirement for participating in the U.S. Department of Defense’s largest-ever submarine procurement effort.

Without CMMC compliance, companies will not be eligible to participate in the multi‑decade submarine‑development effort estimated at roughly US $240 billion to US $330 billion that underpins the AUKUS program (cbo.gov).

As part of this historic trilateral partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the AUKUS program relies on a secure, compliant, and resilient supply chain to deliver next-generation nuclear-powered submarines and associated technologies. Business Lens works directly with suppliers — from welders and fabricators to tech integrators and logistics providers — to ensure they meet CMMC requirements and can confidently contribute to this generational defense effort.

These events bring together DOD officials, prime contractors, small businesses, officials from Australia to discuss how to expand the SIB and ensure suppliers are ready for CMMC assessments and participation in AUKUS-related projects.
